A new (secondhand of course) Tonykart Extreme joins the team.

Having not been able to get the Zip to handle as we would like a master plan was hatched. Buy another Tonykart Extreme 99 so that we could share set-up data betwen the two karts. On the face of it not really a very difficult one to work out - why didn't we think of it earlier.

A brief glance on Karting.co.uk marketplace found a secondhand chassis of the right age and more importantly price and a trip to Northampton in the trusty van secured it along with some useful parts. Unfortunately this didn't include an engine mount - more expense.

Once home at the garage, feverish swapping of parts began. Neither myself (Toby) or Paul could fit in the seat so this was the first to be transferred from the Zip. Next was the rear bumper bar as this was already fitted with exhaust mounts for the Rotax. Sprocket protectors completed the job.

So, next meeting we'll hopefully have an engine mount after placing a wanted ad and will be able to shake it down and see how it performs.
